Ingredients

  1. Chocolate Chips
  2. 315 gramsMultipurpose flour
  3. 1/2 tspBaking soda
  4. 140 gramsButter (unsalted)
  5. 50 gramsGranulated sugar
  6. 80 gramsLight-brown sugar
  7. 1 tspSalt
  8. 2 1/2 tspPure vanilla extract
  9. 2 largeEggs
  10. 2 cupChocolate chips
  11. 20 gramsCocoa powder (OPTIONAL)
  12. 1 mediumbar of milk chocolate

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 150°C.

    Combine butter, granulated sugar and light-brown sugar. Whisk on medium speed until light and fluffy.

    Reduce speed speed to low then add salt, vanilla extract and eggs. Beat until well mixed (about 1 minute).

    Fold in sifted flour and baking soda.

  5. 5

    OPTIONAL: Fold in cocoa powder to make it extra extra chocolaty.

    Stir in chocolate chips.

    Heap tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart on a flat tray (mine never stuck to the tray) or into a muffin tray.

    Chop up milk chocolate bars into small pieces approx. ½ the size of your pinkie nail.

    Push 2 pieces (or more) of milk chocolate bits into each heap of dough.

  10. 10

    Leave in the oven until cookies are golden at the edges but still soft in the center (10-15minutes).

    Remove from oven and leave on pan to cool completely.
