作り方
- 1
Gather all the ingredients. (I chose chicken katsu)
- 2
Place the onions in a large skillet.
- 3
Put all the broth ingredients in a skillet.
- 4
Cover and heat to medium, and bring it to a simmer.
- 5
Cook 2 mins or until onions get tender and translucent.
- 6
Meanwhile, use a toaster oven/oven to reheat the katsu.
- 7
Remove from the oven, and cut crosswise into 1/2-inch strips
- 8
Place the katsu over the onion. Drizzle the egg over it.
- 9
Sprinkle peas over the katsu, and cover with a lid.
- 10
Cook and simmer for 30 seconds, then turn off the heat.
- 11
Allow the egg to cook in the residual heat for 1-2 mins.
- 12
Serve rice in a "donburi bowl".
- 13
Place the tonkatsu/onion/egg/sauce mixture on top.
- 14
Drizzle with the extra broth, and serve.
- 15
NOTE: Katsudon is typically served with pork cutlets and →

a savory sauce over the rice. There is also a similar →

recipe called "Chicken Katsudon" where you choose your katsu
コツ・ポイント
Cover the dish with a lid to prevent any evaporation, and to prevent it from getting too salty.
