Fish with tumeric coconut sauce🤤

Ingredients

  1. For fish:
  2. 1whole medium size fish
  3. 1 tbspginger-garlic paste
  4. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  5. 1/2 tsptandoori masala
  6. Some chilli powder (optional)
  7. Salt
  8. For Coconut sauce
  9. 1/2 tsptumeric powder
  10. 1/2 tspcurry powder
  11. 1 tsptomato puree
  12. 2 tbspcoconut powder or 2 cups coconut milk
  13. 1 tspginger-garlic paste
  14. 1-2 tbsplemon juice
  15. 1/2chopped fresh chilli (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    For the fish: clean it, remove scales and tail if not yet removed upon purchase

  2. 2

    Cut a long gash on each side of the fish.

  3. 3

    Mixed together all the spices expect spices for making sauce.

  4. 4

    Rub this mixture all over the fish, into the stomach cavity and into the gash on each side. Cover and leave to sit for one to two hours or over night.

    For coconut sauce: In a sauce pan stir in all the spices, together the tomato puree, ginger, galic, salt, fresh chilli and coconut powder {COOK THIS ON THE LOW HEAT}. Add enough water about 1 cup, simmer the sauce over a low heat till you get a thick sauce if you used coconut powder

    As the sauce is simmering, add oil to your deep frying pan. Heat till hot then dip in your fish. Fry till well cooked. Once done transfer the fish to pot with sauce. Let it simmer for 5 minutes then remove from heat.

    Serve with rice or ugali🤤🤤
