The first step is to keep the poha in a well-washed in a bowl to drain the water. So that the poha will not stick each other and will fall apart nicely.

Now heat oil in a pan, add peanuts and fry it.

Now in this oil add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, sweet curry leaves and asafoetida in the same oil and saute properly.

Now add chopped potatoes, mix well, cover and cook on medium gas flame till the potatoes are soft. Now add chopped onion and mix well and cook till onion turns pink. Then add salt, turmeric powder and red chilly powder and mix well.

Now add the soaked poha and mix well. Then add sugar, lemon juice and fried peanuts and mix well.

Now turn off the gas heat and add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Now our delicious and tasty Maharashtrian Style Onion Poha is ready to serve. This poha is fun to eat with hot tea.
