Ingredients

  1. 350 gall purpose flour
  2. 200 gprestige margarine
  3. 200 gsugar
  4. 2 tbscocoa powder
  5. 1 tspvinegar
  6. 3eggs
  7. 2 tspbaking powder
  8. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  9. 1 cupbuttermilk
  10. 1 tbstomato red food colour
  11. 1 tspvanilla essence

Cooking Instructions

    Assemble all your ingredients

    Sieve flour,cocoa powder and baking powder then set aside

  3. 3

    Cream sugar and margarine and when fluffy add one egg at a time then vanilla essence

  4. 4

    Mix buttermilk with red food color

  5. 5

    Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients as you alternate with butter milk

  6. 6

    Grease your baking tin and dust with floor

  7. 7

    Light your jiko

  8. 8

    Pour salt on a big sufuria

  9. 9

    Cover it and preheat for 10minutes

  10. 10

    Mix baking soda and vinegar and fold it immediately

  11. 11

    Pour on baking tin and bake for 40-50minutes

    Put hot charcoal on top

  13. 13

    Check with a knife,if it comes out clean,it is cooked

  14. 14

    Leave to cool then serve
