Easy & Authentic Naan Bread

I wanted to make freshly cooked naan at home, so I cam up with this recipe.
Please be sure to bake the naan on the at a high temperature. It will be nicely browned, as delicious as authentic Indian naan is. For the all purpose flour, use Lys d'Or or a flour that is specifically meant for French-style bread. If you can't get all purpose flour, use half each of cake and bread flours.
I added baking powder to the recipe to improve it. If you don't have any though, you can just omit it. Recipe by douce_mika

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Put the all purpose flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl and mix together (no need to sift.)
- 2
Add the honey and dry yeast to the lukewarm water, and mix well.
- 3
Put the liquid into the bowl from Step 1, and mix it up using cooking chopsticks. Add the olive oil, and kneed the dough in the bowl with your hand. Bring together in a ball (it's okay if it doesn't come together quite as neatly as it does when making normal bread).
- 4
Cover the bowl with a tightly wrung out moistened kitchen towel, and use your microwave's bread-rising setting to let the dough rise for 30 minutes. (In the summer you can just leave the dough out to rise at room temperature.)
- 5
Dust the dough with just enough flour so that the knife doesn't stick to it, and cut it into 8 portions. Roll each portion of dough out thinly, and place on a sheet of aluminium foil that's been lightly spread with olive oil.
- 6
Cool the naan one at a time on a preheated oven grill set to the highest setting, 20 to 30 seconds at a time to finish.

Naan made only with bread flour tends to be tough, and only with cake flour only is not chewy enough, so I wanted to make a personalized version. This is the absolutely best naan I've ever made! Super Easy, No-Rising Naan Bread Super Easy, No-Rising Naan Bread
I love naan that's chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside, but proofing bread is such a hassle.I experimented with many different unleavened bread recipes before settling on this one.No need to grease the pan if using a non-stick frying pan.Grease the pan with a minimal amount of oil. Use your fingers or a paper towel to spread it thinly. (If you use too much oil, the naan won't have that crisp "naan-like" finish.) Recipe by Rurumiko cookpad.japan -

I've uploaded a recipe for keema curry to COOKPAD. I've always bought naan bread from a store to eat with keema curry, but recently, I wanted to try making my own naan. So, I adapted a pizza crust recipe I use often (I'll upload the recipe soon) to make this. This matches perfectly with, Keema Curry. If you make the curry while the naan bread dough is rising, it's efficient. If you wrap up the naan in plastic wrap and microwave it for 20 seconds to warm it up, it will be puffy and delicious. I learned how to make my own naan about a year ago. I loved the fresh flavor and ease of making it at home. Also loving Greek food and tzatziki sauce I thought to combine the flavors. Oh so yummy! Naan bread is really the perfect accompaniment to Indian curry. This is not like making risen bread, so you don't have to strictly adhere to the rising and resting times. Just knead, form and cook! That's it!The dough is only rested so that it's easier to stretch out.You can do steps 1 through 3 in a bread machine. Recipe by Rizzy cookpad.japan -

I recreated the naan served at my favourite Indian restaurant. The menu says it is hand-stretched naan made with a generous amount of milk, so I included a lot of milk in this recipe.Keep an eye on it, or it will burn! It depends how strong the heat is, but it takes me 5-6 minutes to grill each naan. Recipe by Puriman cookpad.japan -
