Cooking Instructions
- 1
Wash peanuts in cool water until water runs clear. Soak in clean water 30 minutes to loosen any remaining dirt.
- 2
Drain and rinse peanuts.
Add peanuts to a 12 qt pot along with the salt and 3 gallons water.
Stir well. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours. Check the texture of the peanut at this point for doneness, they should be soft like cooked kidney bean. It should hold its shape but not crunch when bitten. Add more water throughout the cooking process, if needed. If necessary, continue cooking 3-4 more hours until peanuts are done. - 3
Drain peanuts and store in refrigerator up to 1 week.
- 4
Note: cooking time may vary depending on the freshness of the peanuts. The fresher they, the less time to cook.
- 5
If you’ve got an Instant Pot…. Follow filling instructions for the IP, place a trivet on top to keep the peanuts below the water. Cook on manual pressure 80 minutes with natural release. Drain and enjoy!

Found recipes on YouTube and made some changes... I will never buy canned peanuts again lol. Wow these turned out amazing 😉 and so easy and way cheaper to just make them.... use lots of salt if you like salty peanuts lol and lots of seasoning. I used two lbs of peanuts and half the bottle of that seasoning and lots of salt, for my heat add some hot sauce, and cut jalapeños to them ... 🌈NinjaMommaKitchen🌈 -
