Another southern favorite. People including my self can make a meal out of boiled peanuts. These could be done in a crock pot. We used to get 2-3 quarts of peanuts for our trip to the beach. Love them so much! I hope you enjoy them when you try them, and make wonderful memories!

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1/2 lbraw green peanuts
  2. 2 tbspsalt
  3. 1boiling water
  4. 1 tspseasoned salt
  5. 1bay leaf

Steps

    In a pot add bay leaf, and peanuts shell and all. Cover with salty, boiling water bring back to a boil then simmer.

    Add water as needed. Simmer at least 4 hours, adding water as needed. after 2 hours taste water. It needs to taste salty. Adjustments need to be made. Stir occasionally. I boiled mine for 9 hours.

    When you think they are done taste test one. They should not be crunchy, nor sould they be like mush. Serve hope you enjoy! These can be done in big batches and then freeze. To reheat use a microwave or crockpot!
