Boiled peanuts can be found almost any convenience store or fruit stand here in Florida. Usually they have cooked for a couple of days in a 30 gallon pot on a open fire with wood. Or cooked in crockpots in convenience stores.

Boiled peanuts can be found almost any convenience store or fruit stand here in Florida. Usually they have cooked for a couple of days in a 30 gallon pot on a open fire with wood. Or cooked in crockpots in convenience stores.

Bring the 3 quarts of water to boil add half the salt and 1/4 cup of liquid smoke. Add peanuts and cover.

Crush the peppercorns

Add pepper to the peanuts
- 4
Boil the peanuts for 3-1/2 hours. Add water as needed. Add the rest of the salt and liquid smoke.

Stir and check water level often. Test a couple of peanuts for saltiness and tenderness.

Serve when the peanuts are done like the texture of done pinto beans.

I hope you enjoy! These can be frozen in ziploc bags in freezer and microwaved. From freezer to 2 minutes in the microwave.
