It's my dad's favourite salad

This is a salad I made at a friend's house. It's actually her grandmother's recipe.I remember being surprised at how it seemed like a modern recipe--it's certainly not an old-fashioned taste!The trick is to boil the kabocha in consomme stock. Also take care not to over-boil the kabocha and thoroughly drain and cool it after boiling.You can add seasonings as you like.But it's plenty delicious as-is.Thanks to everyone's suggestions, I'm now using the water leftover from boiling to make soup! Tipical salad from greece, very fresh but not the lightest of all salads!!! (It can seem like a lazy way of adding the cheese to the salad but they do It like this in most places from greece)

You might want to try some parsley in your salad, here is Tabouli, Lebanese Salad. Fresh and healthy :D

Really juicy tastfull salad.

I improvised this one day for my one year old. He loved it so much it has become a dinner staple! Both the bulgur and quinoa versions work great. Feel free to try other combinations and please write about them in the comments!

I often have a salad with fried onions on top, and I got a hint from it. I used fried salmon skin instead.The oil spits when frying the salmon skin.If you're afraid of that, it's better to coat the skin with cake flour. Recipe by classy

I grow up on this salad in portugal. It's lovely and light. It compliments barbecued meat really well
