Cooking Instructions

Prepare a cookie sheet or pan with parchment paper keep aside.

In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon powder and water and place the pan over medium high heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then bring the mixture to a boil.

Once the sugar syrup is boiling, add the almonds and walnuts and reduce the heat to medium, stir until the sugar crystallizes around the nuts this should take about 8 to 10 minutes.

When the sugar crystallizes, it will probably become difficult to stir, but Continue stirring and eventually, the sugar will start to remelt, it will caramelize, and the liquid caramel will coat the almonds and wallnuts.

Once the sugar has caramelized can remove from heat. Carefully place nuts on prepared parchment paper and allow to cool and hard before serving.

Once the nuts are set, break them apart and serve.
