Carrot rice with stew and Cabbage salad

Kayan aiki

  1. Parboiled rice
  2. Diced carrots
  3. For the stew;
  4. Blended tomato mix
  5. Boiled beef
  6. Beef stock
  7. Seasonings and spices
  8. Oil
  9. Sliced onions
  10. For the salad;
  11. Sliced cabbage (washed)
  12. Sliced onions
  13. Sliced eggs
  14. Sliced tomatoes

    Add in washed parboiled rice into boiling water (enough to cook rice) and the carrots. Allow the water to dry up. Set aside

    Fry beef with oil. Add in tomatoes mix,add in a little potash to remove the sour taste. When the liquid is dried up add in the stock,seasonings and spices. Allow to continue frying until almost dry. Add in the sliced onions. After two minutes, remove from fire and set aside.

    Add in the sliced cabbage in a bowl,followed by the onions, tomatoes and egg. Repeat the step until every thing is exhausted.

    Serve
