Cooking Instructions

Boil water

Add 4 cups of oats

Stir from time to time to avoid lumps

Cover up and leave it to cook for 5 minutes

When it shows bubbles and it feels soft and sticky when scooped up then its ready to serve

You can add the milk when you're boiling the water... But I like mine after I have done with cooking it...

I found a recipe for apple overnight oats in my feed and decided to make something similar with the dried fruits I had on hand. I used steel cut oats in the recipe, if you want to use other types of oats you may need to reduce the water, maybe ⅓ cup for rolled or quick cooking oats. This should make for a good breakfast.

By preparing it this way, leaving it in the fridge overnight, the next day it's something between a cream and what it would be if you added milk at that moment. It's cool and I like it a lot. It's creamy but not mushy. Of course, there can be endless variations by changing the fruits and spices you add. This is the flavor I prefer (at least for now 😂). I make it and take it to the beach for my extra-morning swim!
