Ingredients

3 persons.
  1. 2 bowlrice
  2. 2 tspjeera
  3. 2 tspoil
  4. 2 cupstur dal
  5. 1 tsprai
  6. 1 tspjeera
  7. 2green chillies
  8. 2tomatoes
  9. 1onion
  10. 1 inch ginger piece
  11. 1 tsphaldi powder
  12. 1 tspred chilli powder
  13. 1/2 tspsambhar powder

Cooking Instructions

    Wash rice properly. In a pressure cooker take 2 tsp oil and add jeera. As it starts crackling add rice and mix for 2 mins. Then add salt to taste and water and pressure cook it.

    For dal: Wash tur dal and pressure cook it by adding water.

    In a kadai take 2 tsp oil, add jeera, rai, green chillies finely chopped, grated ginger, finely chopped onions and curry leaves. As it crackles add haldi powder, red chilli powder, sambar powder and mix well. Add finely chopped tomatoes and little water. Cook till tomatoes are soft. Then add boiled dal and salt and give a boil. Dal should be little thick. So adjust water accordingly. Serve hot with jeera rice.
