This is my Grandma's recipe. 😇 It is the best homemade mac & cheese with a full flavor. And it is really easy to heat up again in the microwave (still tastes just as good). 👍

Ingredients

9 Servings
  1. Elbow Macaroni (about a pound)
  2. 3Cheese Cheddar Cheeses (8 oz. Bag)
  3. Cheddar and Monterey Jack Blend Cheese (8 oz. Bag)
  4. Breadcrumbs (Panko)
  5. Milk
  6. Butter
  7. Cooking Spray
  8. Salt
  9. Pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

First, fill a large pot with water and heat to a boil on high. Add salt to the water for flavor.

  2. 2

Next, preheat the oven to 400° while you are waiting for the water to boil.

  3. 3

Then get a square see through cooking dish and spray cooking oil on the inside of the dish.

  4. 4

Once the water starts to boil add the elbow macaroni and cook accordingly.

  5. 5

When the macaroni is done strain and keep in the strainer. Add a couple of pads of butter, some salt, and some pepper (while the macaroni is still hot).

  6. 6

Then put about half the macaroni in the cooking dish.

  7. 7

Add the whole bag of Three Cheese Cheddar on top of the macaroni and smooth evenly.

  8. 8

Add the rest of the macaroni and smooth evenly.

  9. 9

Add the whole other bag of cheese on top of the macaroni and smooth.

  10. 10

Now add Milk so that if fills about 1/4 inch of the cooking dish.

  11. 11

Add breadcrumbs on top of the last layer of cheese and smooth. Make sure there is enough to give it a crispy top coating.

  12. 12

Now add about eight pads of butter on top of the breadcrumbs and space out accordingly.

  13. 13

Add salt and pepper for taste.

  14. 14

Cook in preheated oven for about 35 minutes at 400° or until the top is golden brown and the milk has vanished.

  15. 15

Finally, let rest for approximately 5 minutes, cut into even squares and enjoy!
