Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbasmati rice
  2. 1 1/2 cupmix lentil
  3. 1finely chopped tomato
  4. 1finely chopped onion
  5. 2 spoonsGinger garlic chilli paste
  6. 4-5Curry leaves
  7. 1 spoonJeera
  8. 1/3 spoonTurmeric powder
  9. 1 spooncoriander powder
  10. 1/2 spoonchilli powder
  11. 1/2 spoongaram masala
  12. 3-4whole dry red chillies
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. As required Ghee
  15. pinchAsafoetida

Cooking Instructions

    For making Jeera rice take a kadhai and add ghee and Jeera to it, after that add rice, salt and water to it. Then cover it with a lid and cook it for 10 minutes at low flame.

    Now for making angur take ½ cup soaked mix lentil and crush it in a mixer grinder. Now add ginger garlic chilli paste, salt and mix it well. Now heat oil in Kadhai and put small angur on it and fry them.

    Now boil the mixed lentil in cooker adding turmeric and salt.

    Take pan add ghee to it.then add Jeera, asafoetida, curry leaves, ginger garlic chilli paste, chopped onion and saute it well.

    After that add tomato and other masala to it.

    Now add boiled and mashed dal and add angur. Add water as needed and cover it for 2-3 minutes.

    Now again for the tadka take a tadka bowl, add ghee after the ghee melts add Jeera, asafoetida, dry red chilli and pour the tadka on dal.

    Now anguri dal tadka is ready to serve with Jeera rice.
