  6. to tasteSalt
  7. Ginger
  8. Cinnamon and turmeric
  9. Blended Cray fish
  10. Vegetable oil
  11. Leaves

Cooking Instructions

35mins
  1. 1

Wash your beans to remove the peel. Soak in water for 10mins to soften.

  2. 2

Add pepper, tatashe, onions and ginger. Blend everything together.

  3. 3

Add salt, Maggi, crayfish, turmeric, cinnamon and stir to have a good mixture

  4. 4

Add some quantity of vegetable oil and stir. Slice boiled eggs and brittle boiled fish, pour into the moimoi paste and mix together.

  5. 5

Put your pot on the fire, pour in little quantity of water and put a leave at the down of the pot. Form a cone shape with each leave, pour the quantity of moimoi paste it can take, wrap it up and place inside the pot.

  6. 6

Cover it and allow to cook for about 30/35mins. Ensure you check after few minutes since the water is little. You are to be adding water gradually for it to get cooked. You don't put much water at a time so water doesn't enter into the moimoi directly. It has to cook gradually. It can be served with pap (jigba), agidi (ekwo) or garri. It can also be used as a complement with rice. Bon appètit!
