Vegan Roughly-Chopped Soy Bean Hamburger Vegan Roughly-Chopped Soy Bean Hamburger
I roughly diced soy beans in a blender, and mixed them with some okara from handmade tofu that I wanted to use up.Chunky okara gives it a nice texture and can be used as a substitute for ground meat. It can also be stored in the freezer. It's convenient if you roughly chop plenty of boiled soy beans in a food processor, flatten them, and then store them in the freezer.I used this amount of soy beans because they're packaged this way, the okara amount is based on how much leftover I have from making homemade tofu.If you don't have oatmeal, use "fu" (dried wheat gluten), flour, or panko bread crumbs. For 2 servings. Recipe by goodaroro cookpad.japan -
California Farm Dried Fava Beans in Cream Sauce California Farm Dried Fava Beans in Cream Sauce
Dried Fava beans are delicious when soaked and steamed, as a vegetable with dinner, in a cream sauce. Dried favabeans keep their fresh taste for ten years when dried, and even sprout again after ten years when planted. The green fava beans are ripe now, 75 days after planting, the beans then dry to deep purple in the pod if left on the plant, and the pods burst and beans shake out easily after another 30 days. A long cooking process to preserve all the juices and flavors of the meat, with a dry spice rub to enhance its taste. It takes patience, a lot of patience, to achieve meat that melts in your mouth. Now, cut your bun in half, add the purple cabbage coleslaw, and let your taste buds be delighted. IlovecookingathomeTranslated from Cookpad Italy -

Easy Basic Five-Ingredient Simmered Beans (Gomoku Mame) Easy Basic Five-Ingredient Simmered Beans (Gomoku Mame)
I used to make this by soaking dried soy beans overnight and so on, which was a lot of work. Ready-cooked soy beans are available, so I make this classic bean dish easily now.I try to use a little sugar as possible when cooking. This is not sweet simmered beans; it's gomoku-mame, a side dish served at dinner time, so I've kept the sweetness down. It's really easy to make since pre-cooked soy beans are used. There are no lotus roots in the photo, but iyou could to enjoy the crunchy texture. Recipe by mielle cookpad.japan -

Bean and corn salad in cumin-lime dressing Bean and corn salad in cumin-lime dressing
I love trying heirloom varieties of beans and wanted to create a bright salad with interesting, contrasting textures. I used San Franciscano beans, which are imported from Mexico by the company Rancho Gordo. Canned pintos or black beans should work as a substitute. This can be served right away but keeps well for meal prep. The flavors will meld better after some time in the fridge. Sharon L.
