Ingredients

  1. 2 cupspoha or flattenedd rice
  2. 3medium sized onions(chopped)
  3. 1/4 cupfrozen peas
  4. 1 tbspcilantro
  5. 2 tbsppeanuts
  6. 5-6curry leaves
  7. 4green chillies
  8. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  9. 3/4 tspsugar
  10. 1/2lime juice
  11. 1/4 tspmustard seeds
  12. 2 tbsprefined oil
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. 1 tspghee

Cooking Instructions

    First take a strainer, into it add poha & wash twice & set it aside for about 5-10 mints & let the water drain out completely.

    Excess washing & soaking makes the poha soft, therefore do not do it.

    In a kadai add oil & once the oil become hot add the peanuts & cook till they start to change colour.

    Remove the peanuts in a bowl.

    In the same oil add mustard seeds, once they start sizzling add curry leaves, slit green chillies, chopped onions & green peas.

    Mix well till & cook till the onions are translucent.

  7. 7

    Add the flattened rice along with turmeric powder, cilantro, sugar & salt.

    Cover it with a lid & let it cook on low flame for 2 mints.

    Finally add in some lemon extracted juice all over, mix & cook for few seconds. Switch off the flame.

    Remove the poha in a serving plate & garnish with peanuts,cilantro.
