Cooking Instructions
- 1
Season the meat with salt and pepper, lightly coat with flour, and sear over high heat in olive oil in a pot.
- 2
Once the meat is browned, remove and set aside.
- 3
In the same oil, sauté the onion, garlic, and carrots.
- 4
Once the vegetables are ready, add the beef cheeks back to the pot, pour in the wine, and add the thyme.
- 5
Let the alcohol evaporate. Add vegetable broth or water, which I chose for a milder flavor.
- 6
Cook for about 30 minutes, turning the meat halfway through cooking.
- 7
Sprinkle oregano on top.
- 8
Once the beef cheeks are cooked, remove them and blend the vegetables.
- 9
Plate the beef cheeks with the sauce on top.
- 10
Enjoy!

Beef with Cream Sauce Beef with Cream Sauce
I ate a Swiss dish for the first time at my friend's house in Switzerland. The friend gave me a Swiss recipe book, so I tried to cook the same dish I had eaten. This dish is called 'Zürcher Geschnetzeltes' in Switzerland. The original is veal with cream sauce. Serving it with Rösti, Swiss hash brown potatoes, is the most standard way. Season the beef and sauce well, and the dish will be more delicious. This dish is good for pasta sauce too. Beef Filet with Green Peppercorn Sauce Beef Filet with Green Peppercorn Sauce
I sautéed beef filet and added green peppercorn cream sauce. The tartness of the green peppercorns matches well with the creamy sauce. I served it with arugula. The important thing here is how much you cook the beef. If the piece of beef you have is thick, bring to room temperature first. If it's still cold when you cook it, the surface will be cooked but the inside may stay cold. The amounts of wine and cream are approximate. The important part is the consistency of the finished sauce. Recipe by valentino cookpad.japan -
