  1. 1 cupwheat flour
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1 cupghee
  4. 3 cupwater
  5. 1 tspcardamom powder
  6. as neededRaisins and cashew

    Collect all the ingredients.

    Heat ghee in a kadai. Add in nuts and raisins and fry till golden. Drain and set aside.

    In the same pan add in wheat flour and roast on low flame for 5 to 6 mins till the raw smell leaves away.

    When the mixture will start to turn golden and aromatic slowly after 20 minutes the mixture will turn dark golden brown. Keep aside.

    Now in a sauce pan take sugar and water.

    Stir well dissolving sugar and boil for 2 minutes. No need to get thread consistency sugar syrup.

    Pour the hot boiling sugar syrup over wheat mixture stirring continuously.

    Be careful as the mixture will splutter. Keep starring continuously till the wheat flour will absorb all the water.

    Now add cardamon powder and mix well.

    After 5 minutes halwa leaves kadai and non sticky. And add fried nuts.

    Finally serve halwa hot or warm. Garnish with nuts.
