This chinchin was made with love for someone special.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, salt and mix properly
- 2
Add the butter and mix. Then add the beaten eggs and slowly add the milk to form a soft dough. Leave to rest for 10- 15 mins
- 3
Divide ur dough into 3 - 4 places for easy rolling. On a floured flat surface, rolled ur dough to ur desired thickness, dust flour in between the dough(this will enable it not to stick together)and cut also into ur desired shapes and sizes.

Fry in a hot oil on a medium heat until brown.. chinchin always darken more when removed for heat, therefore, remove chinchin from oil before it get very brown.
- 5

Basic Scones Basic Scones
I modified a scone recipe that I fond in an old English cookbook to use cake flour instead of whole wheat flour. I know it off by heart but thought I'd make a note anyway. (I combined this recipe with the old "Earl Grey Scones" recipe that I had already uploaded).Due to using vegetable oil and allowing the dough to sit in a warm place, these scones have a moist, fluffy, and soft finish. Adjust the baking time depending on your type of oven. You can eat these the day after you've made them by either popping them in the toaster oven or heating them up for 10 seconds in the microwave. Twisted Dough Pastry (Ma Hua) Twisted Dough Pastry (Ma Hua)
Ma Hua, or Twisted Dough Pastry, is a traditional Chinese snack with a long history. It was first made in ancient China for special occasions. The pastry has a crispy outside and a soft, fluffy inside, and can be twisted into fun shapes. They are crispy, golden, and lightly sweet. With a satisfying crunch and a hint of sweetness, they make a perfect snack or treat to enjoy with tea. Simple, delicious, and fun to make! Enjoy! Dandanyummyfood
