Israeli Salad + Pipino (Cucumber) Ensalada - pickled no cook Israeli Salad + Pipino (Cucumber) Ensalada - pickled no cook
This is more or less a combination of both the Israeli style Salad and the Filipino Cucumber Salad, plus a little tweaking of my own for a bolder flavour.Israeli salad has tomatoes, avocado and herbs in lemon juice, salt and olive oil. The Filipino salad uses vinegar, chili, fish sauce or salt and sugar.Tweak to your liking! Add herbs, avocado, squeeze of lemon, cherry tomatoes etc. :) SpottedByD -

Kisir (bulgur wheat salad) Kisir (bulgur wheat salad)
A very traditional Summer dish is Kisir. Every region in Turkey they make differently , some of them use dry onions , some of region doesn't boil bulgur, just soak, some of them use pomegranate juice. Mine is very different and very tasty . Turnip juice can be found in any international grocery store. I used " hot turnip juice" so I didn't need to use red pepper flakes . I also recommend you use corn, Rae -

Greek Salad & Lemon Vinaigrette Greek Salad & Lemon Vinaigrette
What could be more delicious to eat on a hot summer day? Salad of course! I love all sorts of salads with different Oil bases and or any home made dressing. This is a very simple, green, light, and healthy salad based in Olive Oil and Lemon.Coming from a Greek background, I don’t remember my mother ever not using Olive Oil, and so the tradition continued with me. I use Olive Oil in all my salads and in my recipes, because I love the taste, texture, and the fact is the benefits of eating Olive Oil are just countless. Foodzesty
