Fragrant Maple Cheese Nut Mochi

I tried combining all of my favorite things together, and it came out pretty well.
I use a mixture of half almonds and half walnuts, but if you'd like, you can use double the amount of just one type of nut. Once you've added the soy sauce take care not to over-cook. Recipe by John Lee Cooker
Cooking Instructions
- 1
If you have time, dry roast and finely chop up the walnuts and almonds. Also finely chop up the cheese and set aside.
- 2
Add the butter and mochi to a frying pan, and cook both sides well on medium heat. Make sure the center is cooked through.
- 3
Once the mochi has cooked through, reduce the heat, pour the soy sauce over it evenly to make sure it's coated well.
- 4
Next add the maple syrup and the ingredients from Step 1 and mix together. Once the cheese has melted, plate and top with cinnamon if you'd like.
