My husband loves chili and I set out to perfect it! This is a meat and bean chili.

Ingredients

45 mins
6-8 servings
  1. Chili seasoning
  2. 3-4 tbspchili powder
  3. 2 tspbroth powder (or 1 crushed bullion cube)
  4. 2 tspground coriander
  5. 2 tspground cumin
  6. 1 1/2 tspgarlic powder
  7. 1 tsporegano
  8. 1/2 tspcayenne pepper (more for spicier!)
  9. 1/2 tspsalt
  10. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  11. Chili
  12. 2 lbsground beef (or turkey)
  13. 1 tbspdried or minced onion
  14. 28 ozcan of petite diced tomatoes
  15. 15 ozcan tomato sauce
  16. 2 cans (15 oz)each) kidney beans (one blended)
  17. 15 ozcan of black beans

Cooking Instructions

    Set instant pot to sautee and brown your meat and onions. Drain liquid.

  2. 2

    While meat is browning, mix together seasonings in a bowl.

  3. 3

    Pour blended beans and other liquid ingredients onto meat in pot. No need to drain or rinse beans

  4. 4

    Dump seasoning mix into pot and stir in with meat mixture.

  5. 5

    Put lid on with valve set to sealing position. Using the manual setting, cook on high pressure for 30 minutes. Quick release when done.

    Serve with sour cream, cheese, crackers, etc.

  7. 7

    If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.
