Easy Bread Flour Naan in a Frying Pan

I usually buy frozen naan at an Indian grocery store, but I wanted to easily whip up a fresh batch so I made these.
It seems like a pain to coat the bowl with oil, but if you do, the risen dough won't stick so don't omit this step. Recipe by estrella7

Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a bowl, mix the bread flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt.
- 2
Slowly add the warm water and knead. It'll come together and the surface will become springy to the touch.
- 3
Once the dough comes together, thinly coat the same bowl with oil, and settle the dough in it. Wrap the bowl with plastic wrap to prevent drying, and let rise.
- 4
Let rise until the dough has doubled in size. During the winter, place the dough near a heat source, and let rise for an hour.
- 5
Once it has expanded, take out of the bowl, and punch down. Gently flatten, then fold in the flaps to form a triangle, to create a round ball.
- 6
Let rest for 10 minutes. If you're strapped for time, you can omit this step.
- 7
Flatten the dough and divide into 8 portions. Roll out with a rolling pin.
- 8
Cook on a frying pan and they're done. Heat oil in the pan and wipe with paper towels to thinly coat.

Light and Puffy Homemade Naan Bread in a Pan Light and Puffy Homemade Naan Bread in a Pan
I wanted to make naan that not only went well with curry, but could be enjoyed for breakfast if any were left over. Since they can be cooked in a frying pan and will puff up nicely, they might be easier than regular rolls or loaves of bread!Since the dough continues to rise with residual heat after it's microwaved, put it in a warm place if possible. The dough will puff up when it's cooked.Since I added yogurt to the dough, it has a lightly tart, but easy-to-eat flavor. If you use milk only it will have a gentle creamy flavor. I recommend that too. For 4 pieces. Recipe by yaburie cookpad.japan -
Air Fryer Naan / Flat Bread Air Fryer Naan / Flat Bread
I love Naan especially fresh and hot. It is surprising easy to do in your air fryer and because you are using an air fryer, you don't get any smoke like you do when you use a cast iron pan. This recipe is super flexible. You can use different sweeteners though they need to be sugar in nature for the yeast to work. As well, you can mix in things like dried fruit just before you let the dough prove; make sure your mix ins don't contain salt or too much moisture. If you want something that is whole wheat based, you can swap 2 cups of flour for it.If you feel like adding some seasoning to the rolled out dough before you air fry it, that works too. Just remember that seasoning in the air fryer goes a long ways Chris Jordan -

I recreated the naan served at my favourite Indian restaurant. The menu says it is hand-stretched naan made with a generous amount of milk, so I included a lot of milk in this recipe.Keep an eye on it, or it will burn! It depends how strong the heat is, but it takes me 5-6 minutes to grill each naan. Recipe by Puriman cookpad.japan -
Easy & Authentic Naan Bread Easy & Authentic Naan Bread
I wanted to make freshly cooked naan at home, so I cam up with this recipe. Please be sure to bake the naan on the at a high temperature. It will be nicely browned, as delicious as authentic Indian naan is. For the all purpose flour, use Lys d'Or or a flour that is specifically meant for French-style bread. If you can't get all purpose flour, use half each of cake and bread flours.I added baking powder to the recipe to improve it. If you don't have any though, you can just omit it. Naan made only with bread flour tends to be tough, and only with cake flour only is not chewy enough, so I wanted to make a personalized version. This is the absolutely best naan I've ever made! Eat with keema curry. If the dough sticks to your hands, dust with a little bread flour when forming the dough. When putting the dough in the frying pan, roll it out a bit while cooking. If you use a generous amount of olive oil, the naan will stay tender and delicious even after time! I learned how to make my own naan about a year ago. I loved the fresh flavor and ease of making it at home. Also loving Greek food and tzatziki sauce I thought to combine the flavors. Oh so yummy! Super Easy, No-Rising Naan Bread Super Easy, No-Rising Naan Bread
I love naan that's chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside, but proofing bread is such a hassle.I experimented with many different unleavened bread recipes before settling on this one.No need to grease the pan if using a non-stick frying pan.Grease the pan with a minimal amount of oil. Use your fingers or a paper towel to spread it thinly. (If you use too much oil, the naan won't have that crisp "naan-like" finish.) Recipe by Rurumiko cookpad.japan -

I've uploaded a recipe for keema curry to COOKPAD. I've always bought naan bread from a store to eat with keema curry, but recently, I wanted to try making my own naan.
