Peppered Tofu

I have left over unprocessed tofu in my fridge, so I decide to make this dish with it. Bon appetite Maman ja'afar community with ur tea n enjoy.

Ingredients

  1. Processed tofu (danyar awara)
  2. Oil for frying
  3. Scotch bonnet
  4. Onion
  5. Tomato paste
  6. Ginger n garlic paste
  7. Seasoning
  8. Pinchsalt
  9. Spices (curry +black pepper powder)

Cooking Instructions

    Cut tofu into medium cubes.

  2. 2

    Mixed little water with salt n seasoning cube, marinate tofu with d salt mixture for 10min then deep fry in hot oil, remove when golden brown and set aside.

    Grate ur Scotch bonnet, and slice ur onions.

  4. 4

    Put little oil in a pan and heat for few second, add onion n ginger n garlic paste, stir fry until translucent, add d blended scotch bonnet continue to fry for 4min, then add ur tomato paste n stir, add seasoning cube n spice.

    Stir and add water to form a thick soup cover d pot for 3min then open n add ur fried tofu, stir fry until the pepper stick to d tofu n d water dries up.

    Ur peppered tofu is ready, garnish with cocumber, carrot n cabbage if u like.

    Can be eaten alone or garnish with other dishes like white rice, jolof rice etc
