Ɗatun ƙanzo da lettuce

Ƙanzo is a local food popularly known and eaten in the northern part of Nigeria.
Kanzo is made from rice that sticks at the bottom of the pot after cooking. It is then dehydrated by leaving the pot on low heat or by sun drying for preservation.
It can be prepared with lettuce, moringa(zogale) or any other vegetable of your choice.

Ingredients

  1. Ƙanzo
  2. Powder Kuli-kuli
  3. Pepper
  4. Lettuce
  5. Seasoning
  6. Dry cayenne pepper
  7. Tomatoes
  8. Oil
  9. Locust beans/daddawa (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Wash your kanzo very well and soak it with warm water (some people cook it, but I prefer it soaked, cus I believe it tastes better 😊)

    After it's soaked, use your hands to scoop and squeeze the water from it. it'll look like this...

  3. 3

    Wash and cut the lettuce, pepper tomatoes and onion

  4. 4

    Combine all the ingredients in a bowl mix well and serve
