Cooking Instructions

Break up the tofu with your hands and heat in the microwave for about 3 minutes to evaporate the water. Alternatively you can squeeze out the excess water in the tofu wrapped in paper towels.
- 2
Mix the ● ingredients together.
- 3
Heat some sesame oil (not included in the recipe. Vegetable oil will be OK) in a frying pan. Add the pork (this time I used ground pork) and stir fry until thoroughly cooked.
- 4
Add the tofu in the pan. Stir fry it a little. Season with black pepper. Stir in the ● seasonings and simmer until soup thickens. Done! Sprinkle on chopped scallions if you like.

I call it sauce, but I have family and friends that call it Gravy. That is fine with me. The bottom line is that it is so delicious, no matter what you call it.If you have little ones or very little time to cook, this is the perfect dish to make. I would love to make this on the stove-top, but do not have the time, so I decided to try it in a slow cooker. It makes a lot, so either invite people over or be prepared to eat a lot.The sugar helps to eliminate the bitterness of the canned sauces. You can use other meats, instead of stew meat. I have heard people use ribs, which I will try one day. Sounds good to me.Enjoy! J.A.B. -
