Ingredients

30 minutes
2 servings
  1. 11/2 CupFlour
  2. 2 TablespoonSugar
  3. 2Large Eggs (seperated)
  4. 1/4 CupOil
  5. 2 TeaspoonBaking Powder
  6. 1/4 TeaspoonBaking Soda
  7. 1 TeaspoonVanilla Flavour
  8. 1 1/4 CupButtermilk
  9. 1/2 TeaspoonSalt

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes
  1. 1

Combine the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt) in a mixing bowl and whisk together. In another bowl combine the wet ingredients (egg yolk, flavour, oil and buttermilk) and whisk. Add the wet ingredients to dry and mix thoroughly.

  2. 2

Whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form. Carefully FOLD the whisked egg white into the pancake batter. Do not overmix so as not to deflate the air bubbles as this help in achieving a light and airy pancake.

Heat up a non stick pan on medium-low flame. Scoop the batter into the pan and allow to cook for about 3 minutes then flip to cook the other side. Continue the process until you exhaust the batter.

  4. 4
