Light and Airy Fried Squid

I used frozen squid I bought on sale. I wanted pack it in my bento, and I thought that if I turned them into ball they'd be handy.

You can eat these squid balls as is, or simmer with komatsuna greens. They are good in bentos too.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1Squid
  2. 1/4Onion
  3. 2 tbsp* Katakuriko
  4. 1* Egg
  5. 1 tspSoy sauce
  6. 1 tbspMayonnaise
  7. 1Ginger

Cooking Instructions

    Peel the squid skin and chop into sections. Pat dry very well.

  2. 2

    Roughly chop the onion. Put the squid and the * ingredients in a blender or food processor. If you want to leave some texture of the squid, don't blend too much.

  3. 3

    The mixture may seem soggy, but it's ok! Drop spoonfuls in hot oil to fry.

  4. 4

    The squid balls are already flavored, but you can sprinkle salt. Pack in bentos.
