Deep-fried Flounder Fish Made in a Frying Pan

This recipe shows how to cook flounder fish in a frying pan without it turning soggy.

If the fillets have cooked through by Step 4, they will fry to a crisp in Step 5.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2 filletsFlounder fish
  2. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  3. 1Katakuriko
  4. 1/8Lemon (optional)
  5. 2 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Season the fillets with salt and pepper and coat with katakuriko.

  2. 2

    Pour the oil into a heated frying pan and fry the fillets over medium heat for 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Turn them over, making sure they don't break up, and fry for another 2 minutes.

  4. 4

    Turn down the heat to low, and fry each side for another 2 minutes.

  5. 5

    Turn up the heat again to medium, and fry both sides until crispy.
