Cooking Instructions

Activate your yeast in a quater cup warm milk & allow to sit for 5-15 minutes until it foams. Mix flour, salt, sugar in a bowl. Add melted butter,water, milk, egg,vanilla & yeast mix & knead for 10-15 minutes until you get a smooth dough.

Cover & allow to rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size. After rising deflate the dough roll to a long rectangle shape add the melted butter as seen here, then sprinkle the mixed cinnamon & sugar.

Roll it up like a mat & pinch the edges to avoid seperation then use a knife to indicate where you are going to cut about 2 inches thick I use a thick thread to cut mine.

Grease your baking tray, arrange them cover & allow to rise for 45 minutes then bake in pre- heated oven until golden brown.

Then brush again with melted butter allow to cool glaze & serve.

These cinnamon rolls take a lot of work but are very worth it if you have the time. Notice the full pound of butter these rolls call for? They are the best I've ever had. Thick and chewy; sweet and cinnamon-y. I think the frosting is what makes these stand apart. I don't care for the cream cheese frosting found on so many recipes. These have lots of thick, fluffy frosting made from powdered sugar and it's hard to beat. Makes 2 dozen 4" rolls so invite friends and family.Mutus
