We find many nice ready-made taco dressings with avocado and lime. However, if we have a ripe avocado at home that we fear might spoil, we can quickly make a homemade version.
Tuna Salad with Avocado-Lime-Lemon Dressing & Jalapeños 🥑🍋
(All in one big bowl.)
We find many nice ready-made taco dressings with avocado and lime. However, if we have a ripe avocado at home that we fear might spoil, we can quickly make a homemade version.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, mash the avocado with a fork.
- 2
Mix in the olive oil, lime (from 1/4 to as much as you like based on your taste), and a little lemon.
👉 For flavor, it's important to use more lime than lemon, so the lime flavor stands out.
- 3
Add the tuna WITH its water, a pinch of grated garlic, a little capers, a little chopped fresh chives or green onion, and jalapeños to taste.
- 4
Mix well and gradually add the leafy greens (e.g., lettuce), stirring with each addition.
- 5
Sprinkle with a little grated cheese, preferably Gouda.
- 6
Ideally, let it sit in the fridge for 15 minutes to enhance the flavors, and it's ready.
- 7
If serving as a main dish, accompany with some bread or pita, and it's enough for 2 people. As a side dish, it easily serves 4 portions.

I made a healthy and simple salad using my favorite soybeans.Pour the dressing over the soybeans while they're still piping hot.I used about 150 g of cooked soybeans this time, but you can go up to about 200 g.Adjust the amount of honey to taste. This salad tastes better if it's a bit on the sweet side. For about 3 servings. Recipe by Poron526 cookpad.japan -
Tuna Salad Avocado Sandwiches Tuna Salad Avocado Sandwiches
This sandwich was so good. The pesto combined with the tuna balanced well. The avocado and English peas added to the flavour profile. I think I used the right amount of each ingredient as not to overwhelm anyone thing making it a one note flavour.I had plenty leftover for more sandwiches at least 6 sandwiches in total. Just add bread. skunkmonkey101 -

Tuna Salad Lunch Tuna Salad Lunch
When I was in Italy I used to eat this almost every day on summer days. You can make a big portion and feel very satisfied both with taste and health. Two secrets here are:1) paper thin slices make the vegetables to taste more smooth. (See the tool in the photo of step 2. You can get one of those on Japanese shops. It makes very thin slices.)2) get the best tuna you can get. In USA the best is the "Genova tonno" that you can find at costco. Rafael Sanches
