A recipe that my little sister learned from a friend. I was half in doubt whether if this would really turn out nice, but when I took a sip I just had to apologize for not trusting her. It's simple and delicious.

Stir-fried vegetables (like bean sprouts) are perfect as toppings for miso ramen. Miso ramen is generally made with medium-thick noodles or thick noodles, but this is also good with thin noodles. 1. 600 mlWater
  2. 2 tbsp○Miso
  3. 1 tbsp○ Hon-dashi stock granules (or other umami seasoning)
  4. 2 clove○Garlic
  5. 1 tbsp○Sesame oil
  6. 1○Lard (optional)
  7. 1○Grated ginger (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Boil water in a pot. Grate the garlic.

  2. 2

Add all ○ condiments into the pot and bring to a boil. Done.

  3. 3

Serve with toppings of your choice. Sprinkle in hot pepper flakes if you like it spicy.

  4. 4

Here, I used stir-fried bean sprouts and ground beef for topping. It's easy, inexpensive, and instant. This is how I serve it regularly. Make sure to season lightly with salt and pepper when stir-frying.

  5. 5

Adding lard is optional, but it's essential if you like it rich.

  6. 6

You could use ginger for topping as well, just like at "Saimi," the famous ramen shop in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
