One of my favorite and super easy Filipino dish

Ingredients

3-4person
  1. 1 lbbeef thinly sliced (your choice of part lean or marbled beef meat)
  2. 3 clovescrushed garlic. (I do not sliced garlic, I crush it gives out better flavor when crushed)
  3. 1/4 cupdiced sweet onion
  4. 1whole sweet onion cut in circles
  5. 1/4 cupkalamansi or lemon juice
  6. 2 tablespoonsdark soy sauce
  7. 1 pcbay leaf
  8. 1 tbspknorr seasoning
  9. 1/8 tspwhole pepper corn
  10. 3 tablespoonscanola oil
  11. 1 cupwater

Cooking Instructions

    Mix kalamansi or lemon juice, soy sauce, knorr seasoning, bay leaf, pepper corn and thinly sliced beef. Marinade for at least 30mins the longer the better

    Heat oil, sauté garlic, diced onion and beef. Sauté well before adding the liquid marinade and 1 cup water. Let it simmer to lowest temperature. Cover with lid. Set timer for minimum 30mins.

    When meat is tender, top with sweet onion rings. Taste if you need to add salt or pepper to your liking, serve warm with white rice. We like to keep the sweet onion rings half cook it has a certain taste and crunch.
