Cooking Instructions

Take all the needed ingredients.
Soak,dal around 20 minutes.
Wash amaranth and cut into pieces. - 2
Add dal,half of shallots and garlic, 1 tomato,turmeric powder,hing and salt into the cooker. Pour 2 tumbler water. Close the lid and wait for 5 whistle.

In a hot pan add oil, do seasoning,then add cumin,and the remaining shallots,sliced garlic, green chilli,saute. Then add tomato,saute until it mashed. Then add amaranthus,saute. To keep it green add sugar. Once it cooked,add sambar powder mix well.

Then mashed dal and water,if need. Cook again for 10minutes. Taste it and add salt.Then add tamarind paste. It's completely optional. And cook 2 more minutes and serve.

That's all. Our Amaranth Green with Dal is ready. It's goes well with rice and chappathi.
