At Home! Sesame Dressing Ramen Salad

A familiar dish in Hokkaido, known as 'Rasa'.
Make it at home with an even simpler dressing!
This menu is a delightful addition to your table during the hot season.
The origin of this recipe
A menu born in Hokkaido. Recently, it's available at most restaurants, but it seems easy to make at home.
After some research, a simple sesame dressing was perfected!
This alone makes for an incredibly delicious dish. It's also very healthy. Perfect for kids or dinner parties!
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix all the dressing ingredients.
In the order of white sesame seeds → sugar → mayonnaise → sesame oil → soy sauce → vinegar. (From granular → gel-like → oil → liquid. Pay attention to the viscosity) - 2
Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
Use any leftover tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, bell peppers, bean sprouts... anything is OK! - 3
Cut the aromatic vegetables as well.
Choose from shiso leaves, myoga, ginger, etc. - 4
Cut the ham into matchsticks. Slice imitation crab diagonally. Quickly boil shrimp and sprinkle with salt. Use whatever you have.
At home, we use leftover tatsuta-age. - 5
Boil fresh noodles until slightly softer than al dente, then cool in ice water. Drain well and toss with a little sesame oil (not included in the ingredient list).
- 6
If using steamed noodles, quickly rinse with hot water to loosen, then cool in ice water and toss with sesame oil.
- 7
Pile the noodles in the center of a large plate, surround with leafy greens and colorful vegetables. Arrange animal-based toppings on top of the noodles.
Feel free to arrange as you like. - 8
Drizzle the mixed dressing over the visible parts of the noodles to finish.
Serve at the table! - 9
Another example: a single serving with 0.75 pack of noodles. Less sugar + seasoned with doubanjiang. Lettuce, mizuna, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, imitation crab & Peking duck.

This dish was born in Hokkaido. You don't see it as much at restaurants anymore... but I thought it should be easy to make at home. After some research, I came up with an easy sesame dressing! This is a delicious dish on its own, and looks healthy too. Why not make it for your kids, or for a potluck party? If you think the dressing is too sweet, use less sugar. You can make a lot of this salad and store it for later, but it's easy so you can make it as you need it. Serving individual portions makes it easier to eat. I recommend this for lunch. If you add spice with doubanjiang or yangnyumjang, you can quickly transform it into a spice-touced dish. Shabu Shabu Pork and Ramen Noodle Salad Shabu Shabu Pork and Ramen Noodle Salad
Ramen salad is available at many izakaya (Japanese gastropubs). I wanted to make it at home too! So I tried it at many restaurants, and experimented a lot to create an easy, one-plate recipe. My favorite combination is shabu shabu pork, sliced onion, blanched bean sprouts and sesame dressing. For a seafood version, frozen seafood mix is fine. You can use any kinds of vegetables you use in a salad. ♪ I used the vegetables we use the most in our house, and the dressing we use the most too, sesame dressing. I recommend using thick crinkly noodles. The dressing coats well and has a nice texture. Boil the noodles at the very end and serve freshly cooked! Recipe by @SAKURA cookpad.japan
