Octopus and Cucumber Marinated in Garlic, Ginger, and Soy Sauce

At the supermarket, I found marinated octopus and cucumber in the deli aisle and thought I could make it by myself! So, imagining the taste, I made it.
It's easy, but my husband really likes it, so decided to post this recipe.

If desired, add myoga ginger and shiso leaves.
You can use garlic soy sauce instead. (If you use garlic soy sauce, you do not need grated garlic.) For 2 servings. Recipe by Komomomomo

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 100 gramsBoiled octopus
  2. 1Cucumber
  3. 1/2 tsp◆Sugar
  4. 2 tsp◆Soy sauce
  5. 1 tsp◆Vinegar
  6. 1/2 tsp◆Sesame oil
  7. 1 tsp◆White sesame seeds
  8. 1◆Garlic (grated) (or garlic powder)
  9. 1/2 tsp◆Ginger (grated)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Mix all ◆ ingredients to make the sauce.

  2. 2

    Peel the cucumber in a striped pattern, and sprinkle salt (not included) and roll on a cutting board. Rinse off the salt and chop to desired sizes.

  3. 3

    Chop the octopus into the same size as the cucumber.

  4. 4

    Put the cucumber and octopus into a bowl, pour the sauce and mix, and it's done.
