Cooking Instructions

Marinate Beef: Mix beef with baking powder, cornstarch, cooking wine, soy sauces, black pepper, and oil. Let sit for 15 minutes.

Make Sauce: Combine salt, soy sauces, oyster sauce, sugar, and sesame oil in a bowl.

Cook Beef: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook beef until golden brown, 3-5 minutes.

Add Vegetables: Add onion, green onions, and garlic. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Combine and Serve: Add sauce, stir well, and cook for 1-2 minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds.

Quick, easy, affordable, and tasty! The original recipe came from the Closet Cooking website. After giving it a test run and getting everyone's input, this improved version is a keeper. The sauce has been thinned a bit and the hoisin doubled. I think it would also be good with the addition of sliced water chestnuts and snow pea pods for crunch. Maggie Conlon
