Ingredients

  1. 8Pickling Cucumbers
  2. 1/4 smallSweet Onion, thinly sliced
  3. 2 clovegarlic, smashed
  4. 1Bay leaf
  5. 3/4 cupWhite wine vinegar
  6. 2 tbspSugar
  7. 2 tspKosher salt
  8. 1 tspDill seed
  9. 1 tspBlack peppercorns
  10. 3/4 cupHot water

Cooking Instructions

    Quarter Pickles, lengthwise.

    Place in 1 quart jar or non reactive container.

  3. 3

    Layer with sliced onions, garlic and bay leaf.

    In a bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, salt, dill seed, and peppercorns.

  5. 5

    Heat 3/4 cup of tap water in microwave. Pour into vinegar mixture and stir until sugar and salt dissolves.

  6. 6

    Pour this mixture over cucumbers. Tighten lid or cover. Shake a few times to distribute mixture. All cucumbers should be covered. Refrigerate for at least 1 day.
