Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and Apples

I love the sweet/salty combination on roasted Brussel sprouts! This is a definite side dish "keeper" for holiday dinners.

Ingredients

  1. 2 lbFresh brussel sprouts
  2. 6slices bacon, diced and cooked for 3 minutes
  3. 2tart apples, peeled,cored and diced
  4. 1/4 cupolive oil, extra virgin
  5. 3 tbspmaple syrup
  6. 2 tbspbalsamic vinegar
  7. 1freshly cracked pepper and sea salt

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 375. Place a large piece of aluminum foil on a cookie sheet.

    Trim Brussel sprouts and cut in half. Add all remaining ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.

    Spread all of it on the cookie sheet in a single layer. Cook for 50-60 minutes or until Brussel sprouts are golden brown and bacon gets slightly crisp.
