Ingredients

  1. 1 cupSour Orange Juice or 1/2 cup orange juice and 1/2 cup lime juice
  2. 1 1/2limes sliced
  3. 1orange sliced
  4. 4 clovegarlic unpeeled and smashed
  5. 1onion quartered
  6. 4bay leaves
  7. 1 tbspdried mexican oregano
  8. 1 cupsalt
  9. 1 tbspground black pepper
  10. 1 1/2 gallon to 2 gallons of water to fill a stock pot 3 quarters full

Cooking Instructions

    In a large stock pot add all ingredients with water and bring to a boil.

    Set aside and allow to cool to room temp. Add ice if needed

  3. 3

    Wash turkey, remove giblets, and place it breast side down in a larger stock pot. Pour the brine over the bird, and inside the cavity. Fill with cold water to the top make sure entire bird is submerged.

    Cover and and place in fridge for upto two days

  5. 5

    When ready, remove the bird, rinse it with water and discard the brine.

  6. 6

    Season your turkey and marinate in fridge over night
