I love a little something sweet every now and then that's not chocolate. These simple treats from my childhood hit the spot! Try them with a little salted peanuts for a sweet n salty snack.

Ingredients

  1. 1bag chow mein or rice noodles (6-8 ozs)
  2. 1bag butterscotch morsels
  3. 1/2 cuppeanuts (optional)
  4. 1NOTE: My measurements are estimated as I don't like to measure! If you want the noodles more coated, add more butterscotch and less noodles. If you want it lightly coated, increase noodles and decrease butterscotch. Make it however YOU like it!

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Melt butterscotch morsels. In large bowl in microwave or double boiler.

  2. 2

Add chow mein or rice noodles and peanuts if using to melted butterscotch and fold to coat.

  3. 3

Spoon onto waxed paper in stacks to resemble haystacks.

  4. 4

    Refrigerate 15 minutes.

I remember these, my grandma use to make them when I was a little girl.
