Ingredients

  1. 8 slicebread
  2. 1 tbspground black pepper
  3. 2 1/4 ozdried chipped beef
  4. 1/2 cupmargarine
  5. 2/3 cupsr flour
  6. 1 2/3 cupmilk

Cooking Instructions

    Heat pan add margarine

  2. 2

    Take the beef roll it up slice thinly add to margarine

  3. 3

    Toast your bread

  4. 4

    Add flour to beef in margarine stir around add pepper don't let it burn

  5. 5

    When it forms a paste like consistency, a roux, add milk now stirring constantly it will thicken

  6. 6

    Keep stirring constantly don't let it get it clump if its to thick add a little milk

  7. 7

    After its done and at your thickness serve on top of the toast hope you enjoy

    Three tips one you can serve this over mashed or roasted potatoes, or rice also. Second if too thin keep cooking till liquid is thickened. Third tip when making gravy and such use a heavy bottomed pan such as cast iron heavy bottoms distribute heat evenly and cook evenly.
