Ingredients

  1. 2 cupall-purpose flour
  2. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  3. 1/2 tspsalt
  4. 3/4 cupunsalted butter, melted
  5. 1 cuppacked brown sugar
  6. 1/2 cupwhite sugar
  7. 1 tbspvanilla extract
  8. 1egg
  9. 1egg yolk
  10. 2 cupsemisweet chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 325°F

    Grease cookie sheet or line with parchment paper

  3. 3

    Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside

  4. 4

    In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until well blended

  5. 5

    Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy

  6. 6

    Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended

  7. 7

    Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon

  8. 8

    Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets

  9. 9

    Cookies should be about 3 inches apart

    Bake for 15-17 minutes in preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted

    Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely
