Ingredients

  1. 350 gramsplain white flour
  2. 1/2 tspground ginger
  3. 1/2 tspbicarb
  4. 150 gramsbutter
  5. 175 gramsgolden syrup
  6. 150 gramssugar

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 180°F celsius

    sieve first three ingredients together

    rub in the butter

    meanwhile,heat the syrup lightly in saucepan until runny

  5. 5

    add the sugar and mix well

  6. 6

    add the dry ingredients and mix well

  7. 7

    roll the mixture into walnut sized balls and arrange on baking tray

  8. 8

    bake for 15 to 20 minutes

  9. 9

    once cooked and golden brown,leave on the tray for 2 to 3 minutes

    lift off tray and cool on rack
