Ingredients

  1. 110 gramsButter
  2. 1egg
  3. 225 gramsself raising flour
  4. 225 gramsBrown sugar
  5. 1half tsp baking powder
  6. 1 tspground ginger
  7. 1 pinchnutmeg and cinnamon

Cooking Instructions

    preheat oven gas mark 3

  2. 2

    whip the egg and add softened butter, mix together

  3. 3

    add the rest of the dry ingredients until all bound together

  4. 4

    roll into balls about 2cm diameter and place on greaseproof paper on a tray, well spaced out as they spread.

  5. 5

    bake slowly for about half an hour, may need to turn the tray around half way through.
