Cooking Instructions

Put the flour in a bowl,add the grounded nutmeg,powered yeast,sugar and salt.mix all together very well.

Add water in small quatities and mix everything with hand,till you have a good blend of all the ingredients.add the yeast you mixed with lukewarm water if applicable.

Always use warm water to mix puff puff ingredients if u want it to rise faster.

Keep mixing till the batter is smooth but not too watery to flow from a spoon.cover the bowl with alumium foil and make sure is airtight by pressing the edges of the bowl.

When is ok to fry the batter should have risen in quantity and will have some air bubbles.

Pour some oil in a deep pot and allow to heat up,the oil sgould be 3inches deep.onces the oil is hot scoope some batter into the oil.

Onces the underside of the puff puff is golden brown,flip the other side to fry.

When both sides is golden side select out and put in a sieve.

I make this whenever I find new potatoes.Since the skins are left on, the flavoring will not penetrate to the inside so the potatoes don't become too rich in flavor.
