Ingredients

30 mins
10 servings
  1. 3/4 cupshredded cheddar cheese (or as much is needed)
  2. 1/2 cupbacon bits (you can use more or less)
  3. 1/2 cupflour
  4. 3/4 cupbreadcrumbs
  5. 1/2 cupmilk
  6. 1oil for frying (I use vegetable)
  7. 5jalapenos (makes 10 poppers)

Cooking Instructions

30 mins
  1. 1

Slice jalapenos from top to bottom to cut in half and get rid of the seeds.

  2. 2

Mix cheese and bacon bits together.

  3. 3

Place flour, milk and breadcrumbs in three separate bowls

  4. 4

Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture. Try to get the cheese and bacon to stick together when putting it in the jalapeno.

  5. 5

Dip each jalapeno in milk then cover with flour. Dip in milk again then roll in breadcrumbs.

  6. 6

Heat enough oil in a skillet to cover the jalapenos when frying. I use a fryer. Fry the jalapenos at 375, until they are a golden brown. About 2-3 minutes. If using a skillet turn over half way through cooking.

  7. 7

Place on a towel to soak oil then serve.
